Is there an adapter that allows me to plug in headphones, preferable with microphone input as well, and charge the phone at the same time? This is very important for me since I use the gps and play my music when I go on motorcycle rides. On long rides I usually run out of battery.

i think the best thing for you to do here is get a second battery. then just charge it and pack it.

ive never seen an audio and power adapter. i think it wouldnt be possible because the power conductors would distort the audio conductors. ever heard a 60Hz hum? it can be a pain in recording and live sound.

I use the Jabra BT320S bluetooth stereo headset adapter. You can plug standard headphones into the adapter (which includes a mic) and listen to music wirelessly, leaving the port free.
