Is anyone else having problems with internet speed going through bluetooth on vodaphone?

I am getting around 150kbits on speed check sites even when in a full signal hspda.

This seems to be translating to 1-4k a second download speeds.

Do Vodaphone have some way of capping data through pan?

The bluetooth connection always connects at 1mb so am i realistically not going to get anywhere near the 3-7meg connection others are seeing through vodaphone?

its most likely a bluetooth bottleneck. BT doesn't have nearly as quick speeds as USB. If your connecting your phone to your PC, while BT is easy with no cables needed, USB is much, MUCH faster.

if u are using internet from ur pc via activesync and bluetooth then u will definitly have a very very slow speed as the bluetooth has a max speed of around 150-200kbps to the computer but this speed is not often reached.

if u are looking for high internet speed and wireless capability, then i would suggest u to get a wifi router and probably a higher broadband connection.

i have a wifi router and a broadband of 60mbps and on speed test results, i get around 2500-4500kbps on my omnia via wifi.

bluetooth is not originally meant for internet transfer, its was only made to be able to use devices in close proximity and to transmit audio (simple quality audio) or data in relatively small amounts (phone to phone connections, contacts sending, headset pairing etc...).

For internet use, WiFi is intergrated in the device, otherwse if they were getting high speeds via bluetooth, why in the hell would they worry abt putting Wifi in the device!!!???
