i910 External GPS Settings

So here's the problem. I have verizon and an Omnia i910, its a great phone aside the fact that the GPS is locked, so i went out and bought an external GPS for like $50 not that big of a a deal.

I went to the registry and got the 'External GPS' to show in the settings menu... however i can't save any changes in the hardware menu.... Does anyone know how to fix this? Maybe something to add to the reg?

I did downloan GPSGate, and it works for Google Maps, but not for windows live.... so i think if i can get this fixed windows live will work....

Suggestions? Has anyone got it to work properly?!
