I have delete all my music, some games and programs but still only ~100MB free of 8GB...

I have entered the "My storage" with File Explorer and I don't see ANY folder bigger than some 20-30MB... Entered by the computer and still the same, maybe is something hidden, or what? I can't install needed software right now, what to do?

Use my mobiler. It has a explorer program to check for hidden folders or you can use windows explorer and set it to show hidden folders. As you wish. And then check the folders properties and see which one is the biggest and you'll see where all your space went.

Or you can use sktools to check for space. It doesn't matter but check for the biggest files and decide if you need them.

Where is that explorer program in My Mobiler? B)

!!!EDIT!!!

I have enabled show hidden files and folders in Windows and showed 2 more folders, but they are with some 20-30kb files...

So i selected ALL files and folders in "My Storage" and here is what it shows: Size 137MB !!!

But when i choose "Properties" to "My Storage" it shows: 453MB free of 7.64GB !!! (after some EXTREME deleting with games, software, programs, movies, clips, pictures...)

And it is NOT a visual bug, when I try to install the new software after some instalation it shows: Instalation Uncomplited, there is no space (or something like that) !!!

So please help good people :(

What rom do you have? I had same problem. Turn off USB mode and then turn it on, after that plug to pc. Unplug and check. Otherwise just reboot your pc with omnia plugged.

Hope it help

There is a well known bug with the Touch Player software on the Omnia. If you have music in your storage memory and update your music library in Touch Player, the software will cause your storage memory to appear full. Unfortunately the only known solution is to hard reset the storage memory (you do not need to reset the main memory). Just remember in the future not to update your music library in Touch Player.

I have try this, but is the same, no change.

Now I'm formating, hope this helps B)

My ROM is old:

PDA : i900XXHJ4/MSHJ1

PHONE : i900XXHI5

Do you suggest me to update it?

I know the problem with Touch Player, its about attached images ot .mp3's... So when I delete them on every update the problem is solved. But now I have deleted the whole folder with music... and all information is Touch Player...

Formating is slow, but I'm sure it will help me, I just doesn't want to do this...

Sorry for bad english.

Just to be sure....

Make sure that you are not confusing the device memory with your hard drive memory. Go to Settings/Memory... upon opening, the device memory will be displayed this will be a smaller amount of memory (about 100-120 MB depending on your ROM). Click on the "Storage Card" tab at the bottom of the screen and you will now see you internal storage memory which in your case would be 8 GB. Here you can also see your storage card memory as well.

When installing music files and most new programs, don't install them to the device otherwise you will eat up your system memory which will slow the device down considerably.

I may be wrong about your case but this has happened to a few people on this forum in the past.

In my case, updating library in Touch Player is ok, but when I update the library in Pocket Player, and then my storage card was full(I put my music files to 8GB sd card. 5GB+ free space, and it still become full.) What I do was disable "automatically scan for media", and select "suspend modifications while playing". Then that problem never appears.

What I did to the full storage card was that: I delete the music folder, at which time some error occurs saying "xxx cannot be deleted", then I use windows' error checking to fix file system errors. Then the free space comes back without affecting other files in the card. I think there is no need to format all the storage area.

In your case, since your file are on the phone memory, you can connect to your pc using usb mode, now your phone is recognized as a removable disk. then you can do error checking. I don't know whether this can work, so you can have a try. wish you good luck!

No. Just try the phone and see if the problem returns.
