Guest natalie1981_cutie Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Hi. It's been a while since I've updated the firmware of my Omnia. My Omnia has a PDA version of i900DXHH1 and phone version of i900XXHG5 (updated using the DXHH1 unofficial ROM leaked back in Sept), I'm running vista on my laptop. I've downloaded Samsung's official DXIA5 ROM and when I tried to update using Samsung's updater, it says: Your device already contains the latest firmware. How do I get around this? Any help would be great. I already forgot what was my original PDA and PHone version. Thanks.
Guest Broda Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Change the version in the phone's registry to be inferior to DXHJ1, otherwise you'll get ".. already the latest version ..." message) - upload regedit.exe to phone - change HKCU\Control Panel\Version\CustomVersion from DXHJ1 to XXHG1 Take a look here in this post http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...rsion-tutorial/
