you don't have to soft reset, but you have to change the GPS program port. First change it something else-->ok and then change it back.

but may i ask why are u using 2 navigation programs? why dont u pick one and use it. iGo 8 runs on the omnia without problems, while garmin might require 3rd party apps for the gps port splitting, (gps gate etc...)

i have tried using both and i personally prefer the igo for the UI and "ease" of use B)

u would make your life easier if u decide to use only one of them, either igo or garmin.

Garmin runs great an doesn't require any 3rd party app.

In some parts of the world it's ok to have more then one navigation software because diferent apps have diferent coverage.

PS: I have the same problem with IGO.

Nobady has a solution for that?

Don't work man. I added the 4 lines of text in sys.txt of IGO but is the same problem, after open IGO, Garmin don't find my GPS device and i get this message: "Unable to locate GPS device; please verify that device is powered on and within range. Continue searching?" . To find the GPS device soft reset is needed. Nobody knows how to solve this problem?

I notice that Garmin lose GPS but I didnt conect that with iGo, now Im looking for solution other than leave Garmin, change Baud rate in "External GPS > Hardware" and than start Garmin again.

After reading meny posts Im a bit confuse.... other than Garmin lose GPS from time to time I didnt find any problem with it. And I must say that Im runnig i900XXHG8/RNHG8 original ROM
