FM Radio with Samsung OEM headphones?

I've got the i910 Omnia and picked up a set of these(http://www.cellularaccessory.com/aaep434vbebstd.html) because I hated having that stupid adapter sticking straight out the side of my phone while I used regular headphone. Plus I like the button to voice dial...blah blah blah.

Anyways, has anyone had any experience with using these with the FM application? I know the phone uses the headphone cord as the FM antenna and it recognizes that it's plugged in because otherwise the program won't even start up. I just can't seem to pick up any radio stations in the area(except for one country station, and thats not exactly my cup o' tea )

Any ideas? These being OEM Samsung headphones I figured it would work fine.
