Afternoon all, question about auto disconnection.

I have changed registry key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\, have changed the string from ~GPRS! to GPRS_bye_if_device_off, and changed the cache times to 0

Opera, iris and everything else all disconnect promptly after closing :(

however email (hotmail) will NOT auto disconnect after checking for emails B) ... anybody else had this problem, and found a solution???

I have also found HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\

and change the string to GPRS_bye_if_device_off, and added a couple of keys for cache time... but no luck.

Thanks

Are you sure that 0 means zero seconds, not infinite? Maybe you should try 15 or something..

I've noticed that sometimes connection is active when you wake up the phone and after that disconnects in a few seconds. One solution could be using an app like CT Scheduler to check emails. That wakes the phone up completely and connection should close properly. The command is something like 'tmail.exe -sync' but you should google more about tmail.exe.
