Is there anyone in the UK who has a custom rom installed with flash 3.1 and a more modern version of Opera able to test a couple of sites for me. I did have a custom but reverted back and don't want to install again incase it doesn't work.

The sites are

www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer - this works in DXHJ1 using the Omnia Streaming Player (Opera browser is old 9.5 2520), if though I have a more recent Opera browser this site no longer works. Neither does the Samsung WAP site stating the phone model is incorrect. This maybe the reason why Iplayer doesn't work aswell as they can't detect the phone model?

www.tvcatchup.co.uk - this site requires a new version of flash player to be able to play the streams, wanna know if it works using flash 3.1 would be great then getting all freeview channels on the phone.

Please note these sites will only work for UK ppl (unless using a uk proxy ofc)

A couple of things stopping me going to a new version of Opera

1. The above B)

2. Loose the option to identify the device as either Handheld/Desktop (Opera Settings)

Indeed, SkyFire is your best bet if you want to view Flash content. You could find Flash Lite 3.1 on e-Mule, but it won't play newer content and some of the older content plays slow.

The one thing to keep in mind about Skyfire is that all of your browsing data is being managed by their remote server. It's almost like a remote desktop connection. That's why Flash content is able to run at decent speed. A remote server is rendering it and streaming it to your device.

I don't use Skyfire myself for that reason, and I urge others to consider their privacy when using it.
