Guest fascinus Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Hello, I have recently purchased the Omnia i900 (abt 20 days by now). Previously I did mention I have certain problems with the i900 in accessing "gmail". I see the login page, punch in my id & password, but then nothing happens. Opera says kindly report the error to microsoft & IE just hangs up. Is there any solution to this? Also, secondly I wanted to know is there any option apart from the widgets to get the bluetooth connectivity function on the main today screen? Like the 2003SE version... the bluetooth icon was on the left side bottom along with WiFi and could be turned on there itself. Also, the Main Menu appears on the left hand corner - bottom. Can we get rid of that and customise the section for your WiFi, Bluetooth, New Message etc. I agree being new is difficult and you might be getting these questions everyday but I really need to understand is there a possibility for it. Also, I had a word about 'gmail" accessing problem with the Service Provider and they mentioned it because of the handset as gmail homepage opens perfectly. Kindly help me. Thanks.

You can also go to: http://m.google.com/?dc=gbackstop on that page you can download the Gmail java App! When you install it you can view your mail by using the app. so you don't have to go to google.com with you Browser. Very useful tool. Good Luck!

Thanks. ok i have had my omnia for about 2 weeks but im pretty quick at learning new stuff so you can either take my advice or not its up to you.... first open opera and make sure you have flash and java enabled in settings/advance also have it identify as a desktop computer second for your home/today screen, i suggest you download wisebar advance desktop 2 (a.k.a. "wad 2"). basicly what this does is make an overlay on your today screen to wher eyou can put what ever you want there... anything from programs and game shortcuts to wifi and weather updates... you can make it look like a desktop with nothing but icons or you can design your own user interface.... if your not good at designing you can do what i did and just download a theme someone else made that you like and install it then edit the buttons and stuff to your liking. its all really simple i promise it is a pay item but im sure you can download it for free somewhere if you look B)
