Guest justin89h Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...re-version-fix/ Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialerWith the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#Select 'Preconfiguration'Enter code *#81230*# and select OKSelect 'Singapore', with the default OperatorAccept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESETRun update, and all should be well. Follow this, making sure to select the right country for the rom you downloaded. For me it was Phillipines, not Singapore. Try different ones if you're not sure. Then do a regedit so the updater thinks you have an earlier version that requires updating (Will have to repeat after you change the region as this hard resets the phone)Install a registry editor like 'Total Commander' or 'PHM Registry Editor' and open it.Navigate to HKCU\Control Panel\Version\CustomVersionChange Value from 'DXIA5' to 'DXHK3' or 'DZHK3' (Depending on which rom you downloaded)This worked fine for me installing the official rom after a custom one like Tarils. When I first installed the official rom after my branded one I had to hexedit the update file, this process is described in that above thread. Hope this helps. Wow This worked for me, there should be a sticky about this for people who are having trouble having the wrong version of rom even after changing to different countries like me
