Guest Simon rJ Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Hi all, hope that someone can help with my problem. I recently upgraded my ROM from ACHJ2 to DXHH3, I posted in the newbie section that I wasn't happy with it and I wanted to go back to ACHJ2 if possible but didn't hear anything. So I searched on here and found this guide http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...rsion-tutorial/ which I followed to the letter. I changed the registry to DXHG3 then used hex editor to change i900xx to i900dx in the update file. I ran the update file, it started downloading but then a message came up saying to manually reset the device, which I had never had happen before. I pressed the reset button but nothing happened, and nothing else happened for about half hour. I put my phone on charge last night to see if the battery was flat but still won't turn on. I saw another guide on here how to potentially unbrick your phone using win control, which I did but still nothing. The updater says emergency mode, which I click but nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Guest andylyf Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I have waited 3 weeks now and still no-one has helped!!! wow, you had a nice little black paperweight for 3 weeks and it never occurs to you to bring to the service centre?
Guest Simon rJ Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Very helpful!! FYI I took it to be fixed a 2 weeks ago, I just thought this forum would have some helpful people on it, turns out there isn't, just cheeky buggers!!
Guest Th3rmal Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 People usually only reply to a thread when they have a solution, no replies usually means noone knows how to help you. So dont get offended when this happens, it just means that the people in this community still havent figured out a way to help you. You did the right thing by taking it to the service centre, i hope your problem is fixed now. :D
Guest Simon rJ Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Sorry, having a bad day!!!! The problem is kinda fixed in that they gave me a new phone as they "couldn't fix it in time" Guess Vodafone repairs have some sort of time limit imposed on them. My only concern is that I found the information on how to upgrade my ROM to a de-branded one on this website and followed it to the letter, not sure what went wrong but ended up with an expensive paperweight. I was hoping that someone could shed some light on it so that others didn't have the same misfortune as me!!!
