Guest inite Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 I can only seem to lock via s2u2 via the main on/off power or via the icon. Can i actually lock it via the default lock button (by holding on to the end call button). Preferably with non-third party program. When i lock with the on/off button, i realised that sometimes when i press any other buttons, the phone doesnt respond, and i'll have to hit the on/off button instead.

Guest Jesse73 Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 I'm using Pocketshield instead and if you map it to a softkey or a hard button it will turn off the display almost immediately allowing the front buttons to wake it again in less than a minute. Great for power saving and it will also keep your music playing with the screen off if you add your player to its application permissions. Also has a great feature where it will unlock your phone using its light sensor. But its not free although you do get a free trial. http://www.pocketshield.net/default.htm
Guest inite Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 I just map it to a softkey. Care to advice how can i go about doing it?

I'll try it out, thank you =) Edit: I just tried out the trial version, and it says there is an error, that it requires a newer version of Microsoft .NET compact Framwork. How do i know whats my version and what version is actually required. Would installing the latest official ROM solve this issue? Edited April 9, 2009 by inite
Guest Jesse73 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I'm using a custom rom and it already has the newer version of the Microsoft .NET compact Framwork however you can get it from the download page of Pocketshield Hope this helps
Guest inite Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Thanks. I've gotten that to work. It seems like pocketshield is more of an alternative to s2u2 instead? Im quite comfortable with s2u2 at the moment. Not sure if they would clash by using both together. Anyone tried having both?
