Guest ilyukha Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 Opera is part of ROM. You can not delete it.

Guest Rooster Misfit Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 you can delete i did too just google the cab for to install opera. then unistall it . thats it. yeah that didnt work... i went to the site downloaded the file but it was to big to install in my device... so i installed it in my storage.... i then reset the phone and then opened it and then closed it then deleted the program and then did a clear temp.... it actally made me gain a mb soooo yeah it didnt work
Guest Raul6 Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 soooo yeah it didnt work because as already suggested if it is part of the Rom it can not be removed
Guest bpivk Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 you can delete i did too just google the cab for to install opera. then unistall it . thats it. As Raul6 has written. You can't delete files that are part of the rom. If you install Opera from a cab and then remove it you'll still remove just the files that have been installed from the cab. The files that are on rom can't be removed unless you cook yourself another rom without opera.

They could access any of it. Skyfire is good for viewing Flash content, but I really don't recommend using it as your primary browser.

Banking info, passwords, etc.. :tinfoil hat off:

Guest krelvinaz Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 why would that be any different than any other browser? Because with other browsers you are rendering the data ON your device. SSL connections are decrypted ON your device not somewhere else.
Guest Chugworth Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) Because with other browsers you are rendering the data ON your device. SSL connections are decrypted ON your device not somewhere else. Right. Skyfire works almost like a Remote Desktop connection. That's why Flash content works so well. It's being rendered on their proxy servers, and then sent to your device as a video stream. Some may say I'm wearing a tinfoil hat. But I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of a remote proxy server handling my passwords and logged in sessions. Especially one from a no-name company. Edited April 11, 2009 by Chugworth
