i910 and USB devices?

Just had a curious thought. Anyone think it might be possible to write an app to use other types of USB devices with the i910? We know it can be seen as a USB storage device but what about it seeing other devices, like hard drives, thumb drives or even things like audio adapters or i/o devices? Would be really intertesting to see this little guy tethered to a 1TB drive.
