Hi,

I have been looking for a way to hear music stored in my omnia through my car stereo.

There are two ways:

-xcarlink phone -> usb/sd card/audio in/bluetooth -> cd charger connector -> car stereo

-radio transmitters phone -> radio emitter -> car stereo radio

I personally prefer the first one (can be controlled by car controls, once it is installed there arent cables hanging, etc)

My question is: the wireless chip in the omnia can receive radio, but can it also send radio signals? if that is possible there is a way to send the music to the car stereo without extra stuff, provided there is a software that can make use of the wireless chip feature. Do you know if the chip is capable of transmitting radio? is there a program to take advantage of that feature if it exists?

I doubt that it would be able to transmit any radio signals... and even if it could, you have to have the headset pluged in and stretched out just to get a radio signal, I'm guessing you'd need a similar "antenna" just to be able to transmit as well. Using the 3.5 (standard headphone) jack in my girlfriend's car works great... but I know not all cars have that. Just getting a cigarette lighter plug in radio transmitter would probably be your best bet. You can get them fairly cheap depending on what all you want it to do.
