i was looking closely at my omnia and noticed a hole covered with the reflective border that surrounds the face of the phone. it looks like a 2 way mirror kinda...upon further inspection, it seems that there is some kind of receptor in there...can anyone else verify this? if so is it a camera or just a light pickup for screen brightness?

It's a secret spy camera only Samsung knows about (well, now you know about it too). :excl:

i beleive that this is the light sensor for the display. If you go to screen backlight in the settings panel it gives you the option for auto or manual.

^^ yes i believe it is the light sensor. the i910 does not come with the front camera that the 900 comes with

No, its a light sensor on the i900, too. The i900 has an extra hole for the camera.

It depends on the market. Across the pond from the US, it is in fact a video conf camera. US Resellers don't have it. We have a light sensor there. If you enable auto backlight sensing, you can place a finger over that area and see the backlight adjust.

Just curious... Does this include the unlocked i900's in the US? I would find that strange if it does... :excl:
