Guest theidoctor.org Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Ok since the new tom/ update contains opera with flashlite 3.1, i thought i'd throw in a few good places to watch tv and movies! OK so here is the list: *http://www.66stage.com -- They have a good list of movies that are out in theaters or videos... not all will work. *NBC - ABC -CBS - TBS - FOX... ... All or most of these channels have full episodes you can watch, but im not sure if they work yet IF you have more to add, just leave a post and i will add them to this list! Guest bornl33t Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 So does the Opera 9.5 installed on the VZW i910 come with flash? cos i cant view flash on my phone, any ideas why? It does have flash but not enough for even youtube....unless you are using the new ROM. Either way you probably do not have it enabled. To enable go to setting in Opera and click advanced; put a check mark in the box next to "enable flash plugin" and restart opera ( use task manager to make sure it's off not just minimized or whatever it's called... I've tried youtube.com and break.com, tonight before bed I'm going to try liveleak.com and a few others.....and of course bookmark them. Also, I figure this out this afternoon that you can click on a video and it will make the video fullscreen....I'mactually really impressed with the media capabilities of this phone....it might not have a plethora of retarded useless 'apps' but it's definitely better then the iphone. The next gen iphone better have 5 megs with flash and video or I'm going to be lambasting these guys every chance I get....
Guest Jokes On You Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 If your looking for a browser to play flash videos try Skyfire.
Guest bornl33t Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) If your looking for a browser to play flash videos try Skyfire. Skyfire was revolutionary when it came out a year or so ago...but it's almost obsolete now with flashlite 3.1. I think the next rendition of flashlite will have full flash capabilities making skyfires choppy videos a thing of the past. Edited April 12, 2009 by bornl33t

Guest cOnTaGoUs Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Thanks i enabled it, but still flash doesn't seem to work, i don't have the new ROM as of yet, have to wait for VZW to release it so i can keep my warranty, phones only 7 days old lol. Any ideas how i can get flash working tho? I enabled it and i have the standard opera that comes with the i910.

The only way for you to get flash to work is to upgrade to the newest rom or use skyfire (if for whatever reason you want to stay on the stock rom). There were extensive threads about trying to get flash working on the stock rom btw. The results are as I said.
Guest cOnTaGoUs Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 ok thanks for that information :excl:
Guest DeepBlueEditor Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Be aware that Youtube has it's own applications, 2 of them now for viewing videos off their sites. From Opera I was directed to download a new Youtube application that is a YT browser of it's own. Also there is the mobile YT app that allows you to play downloaded flash files. You have to go into the settings and tell it to play stored flash content before it will play files on your device (phone). I can see youtube videos in Opera but they play badly and way too wide. I can't seem to control the size unless I use the YU apps instead. Plays pretty well from the apps though. Edited April 13, 2009 by DeepBlueEditor
