Guest markdooler Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Evening all, I am currently using the software called WMWifiRouter with my omnia and i can connect any Wifi enabled laptop to it and surf the internet. However, the main reason for getting this software was so i could connect my PS3 to it and use it for gaming. I got all excited when i got hoe, turned on the Wfi software and the PS3 and tried to set it up. I was very frustrated when no matter what i did i could not get the PS3 to pick up the signal!!!! I tried both scanning and entering the SSID manually but no joy. Anyone got any ideas???????

You might be able to look around in the PS3 settings to change the network type

You might be able to look around in the PS3 settings to change the network type this is a terrible idea if you plan to play online. if you only plan on using it to d/l stuff, that'll be ok, but your ping will be ridiculous using the phones connection. i've tethered to play PC games online and while the connection speed was fine, the ping made it mostly unplayable, and frustratring.
Guest mrdeadlock Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 You can play online quite easily with your omnia through your PS3. I have a friend who does and he doesn't usually lag when he plays. (He did once when it was bad weather.) We've been able to play burnout paradise, LOTR: conquest, and killzone 2. He uses his PC to share his connection to his router.

Anyone know any other software that could do this?
