Guest merlot Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 (edited) mFlash accesses your camera flashlight like other application do, too. BUT with mFlash you can do more as only toggle your camera flashlight on and off. You're able to send SOS by just pressing a button or you can morse a free text using your camera flashlight. And when you need a little disco with light effects you can use mFlash as strobe light. Just try it. This application is Samsung Omnia exclusive and only working on this device. It's very important that you report me every error (maybe with screenshot). That's the only way to make the app bug-free. Guest piggygotfried Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 looks good! Any way to assign a hardware button to turn the light on/off with this program?
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Very, very nice! I`m definately going to use it :excl: Another great app, merlot! Thanks and keep up the good work :excl:

Guest Quang05BlkBoxsterS n Omnia Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 Very useful app! I love it next to other favorite practical app. And the best thing is its exclusiveness because of its powerful LED flash, beat that iphone fan boys :excl:
Guest Omega Ra Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 it's the same as the pocket light program I had for my MotoQ, not sure if it would work in WinMo 6.1 though.
Guest merlot Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 looks good! Any way to assign a hardware button to turn the light on/off with this program? No not yet. Maybe I can find a way to do this. But WinMo 6.1 has this already on board. Look in the settings, buttons, tab "flash light", there you can assign the Volume down button with the flashlight. Just press it for the set time and there you are. Or assign mFlash to a Hardwarebutton but I think that is not what you want. :excl: your app may save someones life. Any plans for gui improvements? No not at the moment. I'll improve my other apps (mPlug and mLock) first.
Guest piggygotfried Posted April 15, 2009 Report Posted April 15, 2009 I have SPB mobile shell, and have thumbcal permanently running in the background, so i never get to the today screen to be able to use that feature. :excl: It's a great app though! it's working great.

If you have a recent ROM with the 'Favourite Settings' app, assign that to a hardware button and then when it opens swipe across and there is a button to turn the torch on and off. Alternatively, there is an app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422367 You can assign that to a button
Guest GhostlySnow Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Found a bug. While in the Text tab.. if you hit the send text button before you enter text it repeates the message of Please insert text and it seems to re appear over and over again till a soft reset.
Guest Chugworth Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Now you need to make a program which will monitor the camera for any detected morse flashes and decode them. :excl:

Guest merlot Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 I guess this won't work on the i910? Both versions have frozen up after attempting to use the strobe Maybe you're right. This app is based on the Samsung Mobile SDK and I don't know if all Samsung Omnia versions are supported. Sorry for the issues. Toogle = Toggle ? What do you mean?
Guest naynada Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 What do you mean? He means the word "toogle", the label written on the first button for turning the flashlight on, is not spelt correctly (typo?) haha. Should be "toggle" =) Great app btw ^^

Guest Ang3lo Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 It would be great to add a feature which can make the flash blink releated to music by using Omnia's microphone :excl:
Guest smashedpumpkins Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Wahoo this is sick... lol. Works like a charm on my i910. :excl:

Guest ziko87 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Hello !!! Last year I bought the Omnia, when it was not released yet. It was with a beta version of the ROM. Than I tried to flash it but burned the motherboard, so I had to replace it. The strange thing is that my flashlight (and the flash in camera mode) does not work. Any ideas. I had never seen my flash work :{{{ In windows it has flashlight.dll. Could it be missing (the lamp of the flash) ?
Guest lastnikita Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 Now you need to make a program which will monitor the camera for any detected morse flashes and decode them. :D +1, it's not that hard and it would be a great combination !!
Guest Otterdude Posted June 23, 2009 Report Posted June 23, 2009 really? It doesn't freeze up after using the strobe? Locked me up too. Would be nice to have though.
