You probably mean well with this thread, but this is probably the millionth thread on this very same topic posted within the last couple of months.

By the way, you forgot to include Copilot Live 7 in your list.

iGO 8!

Very good interface imo and easy to use. And it has the most precise maps at least for Romania.

I've also tested this in Bulgaria and Turkey and it was great .

For me definately iGO because it has the best maps and works fastest and without any known bugs for me :excl:

On my phone, Google Maps. It's small and simple. For serious navigation, I'd use my Garmin Nüvi, and not my phone.

Quick question. Does iGo need to be installed on a separate SD card, or can it be installed to the main memory?

Copilot Live 7 can be downloaded directly from the Handango UK website to your PC, and then transferred directly to your device HD, or SD card. This is what sold me! As far as I knew, Garmin, Tom Tom, and IGO, all had to be purchased on a separate card.

Anyway, Copilot is also a good program. Maps are good and easily upgradeable. Interface is friendly, easy to use. Colors are nice! And... it was cheaper than the rest! Setup was also a snap!

Anyone considering a Navi purchase should give this one a looksie.

Does any have POI's for United States for IGO 8? Any help would be appreciated.

Average lock time for me is almost always less 15secs whether it is cold start, reset, not using GPS for the whole week, miles away from previous locked spot, rainy or sunny outdoor, stand still or moving fast at 90mph between So and Nor California, beat that :excl: .

miles away is one thing, but I could literally be in the next hemisphere within 48 hours. Lock time for me is quick, but will still take a little bit longer than normal because of access to a completely different set of satellites. There's a big difference when the last known position is several time zones away from the new location.
