Keyboard Auto Select

Does anyone know of, or would like to have a go at designing a keyboard auto select application.

I would like to be able to use the

phonepad for sms

and fingerkeyboard for browsing.

but I would like this to happen automatically on starting the relevant application.

I am sure this must be possible.

Seriously, learn to use google..

There are dozens of applications out there, like DefaultIM, IM Selector, etc..
