Guest briwayjones Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Does anyone know if a 16GB MicroSD card is a software limit on the i910 and will updated to 32GB with a ROM update or if it's a hardware thing and is stuck to 16GB?
Guest aceofrazgriz Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 if it really is limited like that, it would HAVE to be software. SDHC is "limited" to 32GB. Limited is in quotes because technically they can get much higher, but we'll see a new type (SDXC) instead of them changing the SDHC specification to support more than 32GB. SDXC is slated for 32GB to 2TB capacities.
Guest lanedava Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 FYI - on my old e815, it would format and partition a tf at 1gb but i was able to get full capacity from my 2gb card if i formatted it (no partition) in my pc rather than e815, then simply copy / create the same file structure that the phone would have created. Perhaps this may work for others. ***note...if a partition was created by phone, I had to download / install a utility to do a low level format on the tf to remove the partition and resume the full capacity. Windows Rt click on tf (cardreader) > format would not work...needed the utility
