just get youtubeplay at xda..... not as graphically pretty as the youtube app but it plays vids at a great quality.

whats the point when you can get the youtube app? it is available for download over at xda aswell

i already installed flashlite on my omnia with the TCPMP codec pack but still got the no codec message in some you tube vids

Here's the link to the official YouTube application. Judging by the file size, it looks like it may be a slightly newer version than the one posted here. It shouldn't require any extra crap to be installed. I know it does not need Flash Lite.

whats the point when you can get the youtube app? it is available for download over at xda aswell

because for whatever reason, when I search for say.... a music video... those results are no way the same as if I searched in youtubeplay or youtube itself. the official app filters those results for whatever reason.

Wow, a five month old bump for that? A little while ago YouTube added a lot of new countries to their list... now people from many countries can just go to m.youtube.com and download the client (or do so from the Google mobile page). Before it was only limited to I think four countries so the rest of us had to manually find the CAB and install it to our phones.

I kind of like using Skyfire for YouTube nowadays though... speed is good, and it gives you the option of viewing comments and stuff that the client doesn't show you.
