Streaming and 3G

Ive got 2 issues that i could do with some help, please.

1) When i stream (or try to) from youtube player or my player it streams 3 seconds then then starts buffering again and this just repeats and i can not get a steady stream, just 3 seconds at a time. Any ideas?

2) i seem to constantly have a '3G' icon in the top task bar even when i'm not connected to anything, i click and theres no current sessions, any ideas why?

1) This will depend on how it's connecting. if it's WiFi, you should get a usable stream, but if its over 3G/HSDPA it will very much depend on signal strength

2) The indicator will show whatever is currently available, regardless of whether you are connected. So, you could see G, E, 3G or H depending on the signal available.
