Omnia Falling apart

Hi everyone,

I'm recently getting into problems with my omnia.

Seems its breaking down part by part.

about 2-3 weeks ago, one day my phone didn't wake up in any way and made me hard reset it.

then after a while(a week ago), the 16gb memory got into problem, which it didn't show any file in it(I had about 14gb on it) but the memory size/usage was fine.

I checked with pc, hard reset my phone, ... no solution. so I lost all my important data. I couldn't even think this may happen.

And yesterday I found out my bluetooth function is not there. I rarely used my bluetooth, but if I wanted to buy a phone without even bluetooth, I would surely get an iphone!

the bluetooth comes and goes like the my storage which dissapears once in a while.

I'm wondering if I may lose my phone functions, display, speaker, ... soon!!! :excl: anyone got these issues?!!!

What rom are you runing? Do you run anny apps other that the default ones that come with the phone?

I'm using BVHH1 (orange customized MSHH1) which sucks. really sucks. but I've not yet got time to flash my phone.

Yes I do run other apps. lots of apps. but I know what I install, so, apps have not made my phone faulty.

just anyone got into problems? I think I won't ever buy anything branded by samsung. :|

I know how you feel. My WIFI unexpectedly broke down last week, and so far I've been unable to resolve it.

And I noticed today that my screen is showing several micro scratches :excl:

Its only seven months old :excl:

I've got another 11 months till upgrade time... Not sure if its going to last till then...

I do understand. Omnia wifi sucks.

It really sucks. we've recently got a broadband which is being shared in our home using wireless broadband.

My moms iphone gets full antena and high speed using her phone, my omnia has 1 out of 4 reception. and sometimes it disconnects and connection dissapears.

Although, omnia was cheaper than HTC touch HD, but I wish I had buy a touch HD. I just fooled with faulty omnia 16gb ram.:excl:((

You can fix bad coverage by switching to wifi g mode. Omnia is set do b by default. I used sktools and that really helped a lot.

Plus the rom is really old so that could be the problem because some people reported problems with storage on older roms.

I think latest customized roms would be better, so, when I get the rom what should I do? as I do really afraid of bricking my phone! (Its already a brick but it still has phone functions!! Not really want to lose them too :|)

I'm using Sector's Rom, latest one, and i'm really happy with it.

But you have several options, check the Rom Discussion Board in this forum, you can find all the info you need there, what's good for me might not be so good for you, and there are many options, also there you can find how to ugrade your mobile safelly, step by step.:excl:

Well, I think the qbus rom (6.1 one) would be great, but their instructions are for those who upgrade regularly. I don't know where to get omnia modem driver and other stuff... :excl:
