Guest sturts Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Is there any way to get SIP or VOIP going on a verizon Omnia I910? I've been trying for a few days... I have the CAB for the SIP phone but I can't get it going.... Any help would be much appreciated...
Guest aceofrazgriz Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 i know Skype has a winmo app, try that yet?
Guest arpan11 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 or you could use fring...i know it has the feature to make calls through voip services...but i've never tried to set it up cuz i dont feel like paying for a voip service... heh.
Guest sturts Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 I have a magic jack and ripped the SIP info so I'm trying to get that working.... Verizon wants you to pay for everything so they rip out stuff like GPS and internet calling..... I've heard bad things about fring but I was thinking about trying it if I can't get WM6voip....

Fring makes my phone crash. Wouldn't recommend it until they fix it.
Guest Tim-H Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Fring makes my phone crash. Wouldn't recommend it until they fix it. I use fring. The only problem i have is since the leaked ROM fring closes with an error every now and then. Its usually only when there is a low signal. Doesnt crash my phone, but i havent had a chance to test the skype feature.

It now uses the handset speaker instead of speakerphone....it actually works pretty good.
