power off and lock app

Hi guys,

I have been googling(weird using this word like this) and trying a few apps to replace the power button (which is getting harder and harder to press as my Omnia ages) for almost a day now but still no success.

The problem is this, the apps do power off the Omnia but, it won't lock it. I am currently using the default lock screen in WM6.5 with the check box for "lock phone when wakeup" selected in settings but it doesn't work when I use the apps(so far, vjkeypress0.2, xdashutdown, some very old poweroff apps and so on).

However, it will lock using if I use the power button...

If anyone got a working app, please point me to it. I am going to try out a mort script that will do this, while hoping for some reply

It's easy.

1. Put the app I posted to '\Program Files' directory (without creating subdir for it).

2. Put the 'Lock and Off.lnk' file I posted to '\Windows\Start Menu\Programs' directory.

3. Soft reset.

4. Now you can assign a hard button to 'Lock and Off' in Settings\Buttons.

That's it.

Great, completements to VJ again.. I was looking from the wrong perspective. boy am I sheepish.. :excl: . at least now, I don't have to have mortscript running..
