Very strange thing about the names of the pictures!

Hello, me and a friend of mine have omnias - both unbrandened, mine is 8gb and his is 16gb. When I take a picture it stores it with a name of DSCandnumber - I don`t like that because when you take a lot of pictures and delete some, the camera app uses the free names to fill in. On the other hand, when he takes a picture the phone stores it with a name - DDMMYY-HHMMSS and I definately want it to be like that :excl: Some advices?! Very strange :excl:

Ask your friend to copy out the camera.exe file and copy it to your own phone and see if that makes a difference. You will need something like Total Commander (free) or Resco Explorer to copy over the file.

While at it please also upload it here.

Our member Pako has modded the camera.exe in the IA5 Rom, to save in YYMMDD-HHMMSS format. You can find the file the Roms section. At first I thought your friend was probably using Pako's file but since you say his saves as "Filename-DDMMYY-HHMMSS" then he has something different.

He`s using Pakko I think, because I updated his ROM to shokka9`s DXIA5 LITE - he`s not vey well with phones :excl: THanks man! YOu`re the best! I`m going to his place right now :excl:

Ok, I coppied the camera.exe and IT WORKED!!! :excl: And it worked even dough he was ot 6.1 and I was ot 6.5 :excl: You`re a genius, bobobird! I`ll upload the file into a new topic :excl:
