Keeping core player running when on stand by?

Is there a way to keep core player running even when the screen goes off? Like media player? I use it to play mp3's but it stops playing when the screen is off.

Coreplayer has a 'screen off' function in its menu system- have you tried that?

Most apps will stop when the device is in standby, but ought to keep running with the screen off. Though there is no inbuilt WM function for screen off many apps have the facility in their own menus, or there are some stand alone 'screen off' utilities.
