Guest noct Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 (edited) i received a replacement omnia from orange last week and it's horrendously branded with those orangish icons, and a dated rom with no geotagging fix (BVHH1). i of course flashed it in no time. :excl: For the love of god would they stop doing that already. I'd like to send them hate mails if not their monopoly on the 16GB version. :excl: What's the point of branding a phone in an arguably less appealing way from Orange's corporate perspective, if someone from the know could shed some light? Surely that's going to drive away some less tech-savvy customers (who ain't going to do flashing) to other carriers selling non branded units, no? Edited April 22, 2009 by noct

Surely that's going to drive away some less tech-savvy customers (who ain't going to do flashing) to other carriers selling non branded units, no? That is why I demanded an unbranded Omnia when I signed up to Orange. Okay I lost out on 8gb extra storage, but at least the branding wasn't there to start with.
