Guest guod Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Basically, I have an MSI WIND Barebone PC and cant get the resolution to change. I used the osx86wind install distro and it installed 10.5.4. Then I followed this guide http://forums.msiwind.net/osx-drivers/msi-...tall-t9937.html and updated all the drivers and did a combo update. I still got nothing other than the 1024x768 resolution. What am I doing wrong? I have a 19" monitor that should run in 1440x900 but cant get it to work. I downloaded Switchresx and that program fails. I contacted their customer support and they told me os x is not recognizing my monitor. .They said since the monitor is not recognized, SwitchResx cannot do its job as OS X locks out any changes to the screen...How can I get OS X to see the monitor? Am I missing some driver or what am I doing wrong? I try booting with commands "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32". If I type "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32@60" the computer crashes and restarts. If I hook up a dell monitor to the computer, I can get 1280x1024 after reinstalling kext files. Each time I switch monitors, I need to reinstall kext files to get it to work.
