Guest Phaysal Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Hi, Another Omnia GPS Issue (might be reported earlier). I am using Tomtom with port splitter. It shows skyplot with satellites with signal strength bars. BUT...the signal strength bars dont move at all and I end up waiting for signals for ever. Even if the bars go blue they remain stuck in their place and main screen shows "GPS signal was lost xx seconds ago". Any help would be much appreciated! Regards
Guest necosino Posted April 26, 2009 Report Posted April 26, 2009 Press the reset button next to the power button and hold it in for 30 seconds, then release and try it out again.
Guest Phaysal Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 :D have tried power cycling the phone itself quite a number of times. Also, restarting tomtom or port splitter both does not help. I think it's a bit more complicated than this! any other suggestions!? Regards

Guest meckanix Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 Hi All, I realise this is an old thread, but I'm having the same issues. TomTom wont detect the inbuild GPS automatically, but if I set it to COM3 (note there has been no changes to the GPS settings a enhanced GPS is enabled) I can get a brief signal, but not enough for TomTom to work with. I'll be honest and say I'm not sure whether it's the phone or TomTom, as Google Maps tells me that it can see several satelites when I ask it to use the GPS, but I'm not sure if it's navigating by 3G, as it needs that for the maps :D Anyone got any ideas or recommendations? ______________ Kind Regards Meckanix
