Guest dwethiswar Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Just wondering: how long do you people plan on keeipng your Omnias? Personally I only change to another phone when the previous one is completely broken.. My first phone lasted 3 years, the second one 4 years and now I have an Omnia.. Hopefully it'll last at least as long!

I would say until it breaks but the insurance will take care of that so either 2 years or when I get bored.. probably the 2 years (if Verizon actually releases something better)
Guest Omega Ra Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I'm a bit of a technophile, but this phone is awesome and so customizible that I will probably stick with it for quite a while. Though the Omnia HD does look nice..no WinMo which sucks.
Guest gianton Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Until is broken or bricked by flashing it! :D
Guest Tim-H Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 At least another year and a half, when my contract is up. By then I know there will be another phone I'll want to get, but i do love the Omnia, its by far the best phone I've ever owned.
Guest Bern612 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 untill something better comes out. had i730,i760 xv6600, xv6700 so far this is THE BEST i have had.
Guest Omniaaddicted Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 hmm.... i don't have much money.... but that's not the reason i'm faithful guy...so...i think 5...4 years...or maybe more... and i want to know the quality of samsung high end phone. because i love this phone. hope samsung make it better with upgrading ROM or maybe replace hardware... :D
Guest AngusATAT Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I just got my Omnia recently, and I'll definitely be keeping it at least until I'm eligible for an upgrade again. So, when the two years have passed, I'll look around and see if there is anything better out there. For now, I am very happy with my Omnia. It would take quite an impressive new "toy" to make me drop it for something else.
Guest Turborepu Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 when my wife says i can :D lol just like with the omnia, i will research the possibilities when the upgrade discount comes around.
Guest djtosh Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 if we can keep gettin the newest version of windows then ill keep it for a long time or until a much smaller version of the iphone cums out
Guest fane Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Im thinking about giving the phone to my older son and then look for a new toy.But i probably keep it in my hands 2 more years because its not every day that we can spend 400 euros on a phone
Guest vinbeaver Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 After spending $600 bucks I must say until broke... though the Omnia HD with or without WinMo does look oh so tempting.
Guest Tim-H Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 WOW $600 on it? I only paid $50.00 yeah but hes not tied into a contract
Guest ahcor1991 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I am planing to have my omnia 2 or more years and probably the next I would buy is a SAMSUNG... I am very happy with omnia
Guest MrJoneswii Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 As long as possible, until it breaks or bricks.
Guest Sinaaa Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 As soon as I can afford a new phone :| maybe next year And I'll plan for getting anything but a samsung. never ever samsung again. poor quality... And The most unfriendly interface.(they made windows proud that there might be someone who can build something more unfriendly). Although I'll go for a winmo again :D toshiba TG03(going to come after TG01) looks charming. 5mp camera on 9mm thickness phone(as much as I can remember)! Also, 1GHz is what can make me have something closer to my PC
Guest Mig-L - Bell Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I'm keeping mine until a better one comes out... No rival so far...
Guest theidoctor.org Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I'm keeping mine until a better one comes out... No rival so far... until i can sell it and get a dang storm!!!!
Guest Omega Ra Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 until i can sell it and get a dang storm!!!! storm sucks. A friend of mine has it and he doesn't like it much.
Guest Mr. B! Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 keeping mine for at least 1.87 years until my contract is up. Some other good phones out there, but none of them offered by verizon do it all like the omnia. After my contract is up I'll trade up if there's a better one out there.

Guest Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Not much longer for me.....finally had enough of not being able to charge it in the car when using GPS (the old overheating problem). Just got myself a shiny new Xperia X1 and the Omnia is off to ebay
Guest Wadzii Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 till something better comes out... or this thing pisses me off, which ever comes first. my old Alias lasted me about a year and a 1/2, my Glyde, about 3 months, i figure around a year and I'll get tired of the omnia.
Guest Root-dir Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Until It breaks or i can get an android phone with comparable or better specs and since im tied to Verizon (3g everywhere is nice no matter what anyone says they DO have the biggest network) I will probably never see the second one happen. but I will definitely be watching samsung from here on out since I love my omnia. the omnia HDs are okay but WHY DID THEY GET RID OF MY OPTICAL MOUSE!!!11!!ONE! any who yeah unless I stumble on to a briefcase full of non sequential unmarked bills It will be some time before I will be switching. the only thing that might intice me is an android or next gen palm or a nearly identical omnia with a wider screen and a few extra hardware buttons...or a 3.5 headphone port....or.... yeah ill stop now i could spend hours describing my dream device.
