Guest shingyeah Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Omnia users, I am using Qbus 06M Rom currently... Does anyone of you encountered long delay (2-3seconds) when clicking on the small arrow on the bottom to switch between SIP??? Would anyone let me know how to deal with this annoying problem? I tried to use SKtools to remove the registry of those SIP I do not use, but it doesn't help any... Thanks all! :D
Guest taz55 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 yeah it happens on my i910 (verizon) but it has happened on all roms. it pisses me off soooooo much.
Guest David Park Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 I also hated that problem but it seems to have just disappeared with the installation of a awesome program called fingersuite, have no idea why it did. Check it out it helps on other things also so its still a good download.

Guest shingyeah Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 Unfortunately, that did not solve my problem.... any more recommendations from any of you?? Thanks!!!
Guest taz55 Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 i refuse to believe we are the only ones with this issue
Guest bpivk Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 I have the same problem and it helped when i disabled some SIPs that i don't use with SPB Tips and tricks. But that only shaved off a couple of seconds. I found out that some SIP's just make the switching slower. The SIP that slowed my phone the most was finger keyboard. That keyboard made switching really slow so i was forced to remove it. But keep in mind that i was using the older 2.0 version so i don't know if the new version makes things faster.

I suffered in the same way but there is a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/in...p/t-301433.html It worked for me but do read the whole post as there seems to be two methods which are reported as working. Both need their instructions following carefully else worse trouble arrises. I used the reg export/ import method (using MemMaid) and it worked for me (SIP change over down from 10-15s to almost instantaneous). Good luck. Regards - Mallow1
Guest bpivk Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) Man this really works. Get a registry editor 1. Export HKCR\CLSID (will save to a *.reg file) 2. Del or Rename HKCR\CLSIDÂ 3. Import the backup of HKCR\CLSID 4. Reset The second option is similar so it wouldn't make a difference. But this method made my sip changing fast. From 15-30 seconds to 1-2 seconds.
