Hello,

I got a big problem when it comes to getting route66 to work.

I've searched around alot on the forums and i've changed the hardware port to com6/4600BAUD.

The problem seems to be that it wont connect to internet or trying to download GPS position, I'm living in Sweden, Stockholm and got tele2 as phone operator and in my subscription internet traffic is included, with other words, I can surf on youtube, opera etc...

But according to my SPB wireless connection program my GPS process only download 0.1k and then stops, and now latley it doesn't even turn my phone into GPRS mode (it did before), but now it don't want to download anything

I really would like to get this to work... And i've tried everything.

Can you guys please give me some pointers on how to get my phone to be more like Jack Bauers killer phones! :D

Route66 doesn't need an internet connection. My parameters are GPS program port COM3, GPS hardware port COM9, baud rate 4800, Manage GPS automatically set on. I have enhanced GPS enabled. Works fine for me.

In enhanced GPS settings, should Auto Download be disabled or enabled?

What does it do?

XTRA enable is enable for me.

______________

Now it says "Reciving GPS-position" (in Swedish) but it doesnt seem to find any satilites...

but in extras > GPS information

in the 2th meny (cirkle thingy) I get 1-2 red dots, also get something on "channel" and sometimes 30 that shows red, but still zero satilites in the first meny?

I have it enabled and 'when connected to PC via ActiveSync' set on. As I understand it, xtra data gives GPS a clue where to start looking for satellites, so should speed up achieving a fix.

Thank guys!

I finally got it working on port9 :D now I find like 7-9 satilites when standing close to the window.

Really much love to you too!

Also, forgot about this, someone recommended setting registry entries HKLM/System/CurrentControlSet/GPS Intermediate Driver/CurrentLogFile and /OldLogFile to blank and deleting GPSID_log.txt and GPSID_log.bak from the root of your device. Apparently they are only used for debugging and can slow down getting a fix. I don't know if it makes any difference but it's worth a try.

Because of you're awesomeness and knowledge I give you another question i'm wondering about.

How well are the suppose (route66) to work? I mean, can it be used inside or is it only working when in a car or outside?

It will work anywhere GPS can get a fix which is down to the GPS receiver not Route66, but you can use it without GPS fix to plan routes.
