Guest SpeedfreakR Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 I wan't to flash my i900 omnia back to the latest original rom (i900XKHJ3) but I get the error 'Incorrect Software Version' (but then in dutch) I triend to flash to more custom roms and every rom I use, when I wan't to flash to the original rom i get the error. I tried this fix but i still get the error... <LI itxtvisited="1">Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer<LI itxtvisited="1">With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#<LI itxtvisited="1">Select 'Preconfiguration'<LI itxtvisited="1">Enter code *#81230*# and select OK<LI itxtvisited="1">Select 'Singapore', with the default Operator<LI itxtvisited="1">Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET<LI itxtvisited="1">Run update, and all should be well. Tried even set singapore to netherlands... So I can flash to every custom rom i wan't but not back to an samsung rom (even tried an singapore rom) Vista and XP both give the error.... Any ideas?
Guest kiotu Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 happened to me and was able to fix it....if u search further in the pinned topic about incorrect software version u should find that u need to change or create a registry key in HKCU\Control Panel\Version\CustomVersion with value lower than the version u're about to flash, i was flashing to DXIA5 so i create a key with value of DXIA2...(when i was trying to edit my registry there was no key value at all so i add it myself and it works..i don't even to use *#81230*# methods)....if it doesn't solve u'r problem u could search the thread for more info.. :D
