Guest pdes Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 Team, of the ROMs I have tried, none fixes the problem of the screen staying on when connected to the car's bluetooth system. Have any of you cooks addressed this and is there a ROM out there (preferably 6.5) that fixes this problem? Cheers
Guest pdes Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Team, of the ROMs I have tried, none fixes the problem of the screen staying on when connected to the car's bluetooth system. Have any of you cooks addressed this and is there a ROM out there (preferably 6.5) that fixes this problem? Cheers Hi team, Sorry to quote myself but this seems to have got lost in the mire. Khuanchai said that he did not use B/T in a car so couldn't comment. For car drivers, I believe this is a significant issue but I do not know how to provide more info so that master chef Khuanchai can look at the problem. I am sure that this is a generic issue but have not seen others talk about the problem. In short, when connected to my car's B/T system, the screen stays on and the battery drains in just a couple of hours. Can anyone else throw some more light on this? Cheers
Guest tibor22 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 My Omnia with DXID1 ROM (not cooked! service rom from Secany) connects automatically with my car bluetooth system (certainly if BT is ON) and after 2 minutes the Omnia screen goes off (standby). Still, when someone calls me the Omnia wakes up normally and transfers the call to the car system. If I want to listen to music from Omnia through the car stereo it also goes well. And during listening I can switch off the screen, the music doesn't stop. I'm not sure exactly what problem you referred to concerning the BT system, but I can say that DXID1 performs well in every functions I require in this sense.
Guest ilovemyi900 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I had a similar problem just a few weeks back, Had my Omnia battery drain as described above, though not in my car. I was running ICS via Bluetooth to my laptop, my omnia battery died after a few hours of use, problem is my omnia was connected to mains the whole time. Running : QB07 DXID1 Mains adapter is official Samsung that came with the phone.

My Omnia also performs all the functions as you describe, but when the screen tries to switch off (after a minute or so) it comes alive again. It dims but does not go off. I am running a 6.5 ROM but seem to remember having the same problem with 6.1
Guest tibor22 Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 I am running a 6.5 ROM but seem to remember having the same problem with 6.1 I can definitely say: my original DXID1 ROM does not have the problem you described.
Guest ilovemyi900 Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 Sounds like it may be a fault in the phone than a bug in the rom.
