I dont think it's such a good idea to send your device to some unknown person. Unless theres evidence to backup who he claims he is, it's most likely a scam. I'd hang onto your device if i was you, there could be a fix in the future :D

Just send it back to the service centre and say it bricked while trying to upgrade to official DXIA5

I bricked mine while upgrading. I told them a "hard reset" did it. Returned it to samsung service center, and they fixed it.

Basically they took my old touch screen put it on a new body and threw out the old back half.

So, upshot, I would just work with samsung to get it fixed. Is there some reason you don't want to send it to samsung?

Hey

Do you know if there are samsung service centers in Spain? cause I bought mine "libre" from a pakistani shop with warranty. The phone is vodaphone branded (on the cover) Where do you think I should take it to when something happens?

i a bit stucked because i did bay it on Ebay.co.uk and Samsung in Denmark where i live wont repair it because they dont give a s*** about europerian warranty and Samsung in the UK say that they will repair but i will have to contact their servicecenter and they gave me a phonenumber to call. I have done that so many times and waited for up to 20 minutes and that is rather expencive so i have more or less given up :D

Hi,

I know this guy. Unfortunately, when I've flashed for first time my I900, I killed it.(Monahans device-Hanging at Omnia Screen). I sent it to Elco and after about 6 days got back - it's working still perfectly.

If you are in same situation, don't hesitate to contact him.
