When i try to load up my iGo8, it keeps exiting because it failed to open certian 240x400/400x240 images.

Im pretty sure this has to do with the data.zip folder, as all the images are stored in there, however im not sure if i swap this data.zip it will work, because ive already tried 3 different data.zip files to no avail.

Could someone please upload their data.zip to Rapidshare or Megaupload or something so that i can test a working data.zip? It would be much appreciated.

Alternatively, does anyone else have any other possible solutions?

The problem is exactly what you are thinking. There are folders in the data.zip that contain different resolutions.

Swapping your data.zip would work but it has to be from the same version of IGO as you have. Swapping one from 2.XX wouldnt work with 3.XX. If you bought it and have a valid registration number you can download Naviextras Toolbox and get the correct files.

if you are using SkTools temporary folders cleanup it's possible that it deleted some files-it did on my omnia, only reinstall solves the problem. This problem is solved by installing newer version of iGO like in post above
