Guest Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 Hi, I'm planning on upgrading my Rom over the next few days, but even tho i've successfully flashed two Omnia i900s in the past Ive managed to brick my last phone completely, so I thought I'd check first to make sure I get it right this time, just in case I forgot something last time. 1. Charge the phone 2. Have Samsung Modem drivers and Activesync 4.5 installed on the XP machine 3. Connect phone to USB 4. Run the ROM installer 5. Switch on the phone and wait for the software to find it 6. Wait until the software says Job Finished This is the correct process right? The phone I have is PDA i900XXHG5/MSHG1 - Phone i900XXHG5 Is there an upgrade path I have to follow in order to, say, install a DXIA5 rom on the phone? Any help would be appreciated, because the thousands of pages on here are confusing. Thanks!
Guest vishalm Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 If you are planning to move to a custom rom, then upgrade to the latest official rom before going to the custom rom. Otherwise it's as simple as you've outlined.
