Are you INSANE?! Look how thick the Omnia gets... You`re better off buying another normal battery and a charger which supports the extra battery (I don`t know how they`re called) :D

cradle? Only problem is, you have to keep an extra battery with you and that is not always feasible. Having an Omnia that is THAT much thicker isn't all that feasible either though :D

why is thickness such a issue? i use internet, gps, music, bluetooth, tethering, almost daily and its very annoying to have my battery die on me and have to recharge it. I wouldnt mind having one of these.

I dont want to carry spare batteries around or constantly recharge.

12 hrs talk time on a single charge? That is insane! I think its worth it.

I agree the phone's literally a brick with this battery, but the battery life of the Omnia is not that great. I pair a bluetooth headset for music to the phone and the battery doesn't last more than 5-6 hrs with that. What can I say, desperate times call for desperate decisions

Wow! that's one thick SOB almost reminds me of the Casio Cassiopedia.....a brick!

I was considering this but the bulk would just be too ugly, plus I like my phone small, anyone know of an extended battery that fits with the original cover I did some looking for one a couple weeks ago to no avail.

even 1800mah would be enough to help make it through an entire day without a battery low notification.

Wow.. you would be able to knock someone out with that thing! On the plus side it comes with a stylus! xD lol.. It would be acceptable for those who use the omnia for say.. music.. so the device is always in their pockets... not.. seeing the light of day.. lol

Hahaha, if you see it becomes so thick that you have space to put the standart battery behind the back panel :D

I think i may end up getting the 1800mah battery.

All i need to do is make it through the day, using gps, surfing the internet, and listening to music.

As long as i can make it through the day, im fine. Because i charge the phone at night a

is there a 1800mAh battery that fits in the existing omnia case???

you might as well carry around a 12v battery and hook it to your belt

I am using wozzers winmo 6.5 lite rom. I still havent noticed the battery life increasing. Maybe because im still running point ui home 2? Either way, i still use the gps alot and thats what kills the battery.

Okay, i went ahead and got the 3000 mah battery, and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

I havent charged my phone since 10pm yesterday, and its 7 pm today, and I STILL HAVE 40% LEFT!!!

Thats almost 24 hours WITHOUT A SINGLE CHARGE!

I have used the camera, surfed the web for about 1 hour, used gps for about a half hour, listened to music for about a hour, used bluetooth, hell i even surfed the internet and listened music through bluetooth all at the same time!!!

This battery will NOT die!!!!

The extra bulkiness is not even that bad, in person. Who cares. I was sick of the phone killing my bluetooth and internet everytime i looked up because the battery was dying.

I consider myself a "POWER" user, so the standard battery doesnt cut it. This is a completely different phone with this battery. I highly recommend buying this battery.

Got the 3k mAH battery from Proporta. The device becomes a brick all right, but since I'm a heavy pedestrian GPS user I find it fine. Well, to be honest, this thing is a powerhouse. I used the GPS for a good 10-12 hours (iGO8/Backlight always on setting) since my last full charge and I still have around 30% left.

The camera view isn't affected.

The bad point is, good luck to find a case that fits. Oh, and unfortunately you can't hide the old battery in there, though you can easily hide some notes.

You're standard battery wouldn't last a day...?? :D You've now paid $100 for a huge brick that MIGHT last a day n a half...

I use music and internet every day, as well as heaps of phone calls (often on speaker) etc etc, and it easily lasts a day. And if you want it to last longer, plug it in when you use your computer and/or when you're driving (where u'll likely be using the GPS anyway).

I agree. I have a car charger in my car if I need GPS and I use MP3 with BT headset daily, besides making some phonecalls (about an hour per day) and the battery lasts for about three days or more. The bigest consumption comes from wifi, GPS and playing games so I just make sure that I have enough battery to last the rest of the day if I use any of them.

With me using the gps, internet, bluetooth, camera, exchange, no. The standard battery would only last 10 maybe 11 hours max.

Its inconvenient for me to charge the phone while driving. I have the phone mounted, and i don't like the idea of having cables dangling all over the place. Its also real inconvenient to charge all the time.

I like the idea of being able to put the phone in my pocket and go, without having to worry about battery. I can do whatever i want, when i want. Its actually quite liberating. I don't have to worry about charging, whether or not i can use gps/internet/music for x amount of time, NOTHING. It truly is a new phone with this battery.

Umm i don't have the dangling wires in my car. I have a charger that hides the wire in it's body so i just pull out the length i need.

Well a stronger battery is ok but with this your phone could very well be mistaken for a brick. but i guess that it's kind of cool when women say "look at the thing he just pulled out of his pants". :D
