When flashing to new ROM - Omnia freezes on eboot download step

Hi,

I tried flashing to DXHI3 and DXHJ1 before running Taril's newest DXIA5 cooked rom but both times my Omnia froze on the opening Omnia logo screen and the window on my computer screen just continued saying "step 1: downloading eboot" with no progress in the download bar (for an excess of 30 minutes)

has anyone encountered this?
