Increase Phone Responsiveness Possible?

topic! I was wondering if there are any steps to increasing the responsiveness of the phone. And in the process, I guess I should update my firmware. If so, do I have to reinstall framework 3.5, and other installed programs? Thanks =)

if you mean physical responsiveness of the touch screen, refer to the thread about mounting a new touch panel on your omnia. There is a more sensitive screen model out, that many have tried with good results

Increase Touch Sensitivity

HKLM/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH

Click: change 1280 to 2000

DownUp: change 256 to 750

if u update the rom, it will format ur omnia and u will have to reinstall all the apps u have. and in some rom updates, it formats the storage memory as well,if i remember correctly, (internal 8/16gb).

there is actually a way to increase the responsiveness of the omnia, making it a bit faster the os, but at the expense of other apps running. it has something to do with the system file paging size.

Ah well, so the phone will respond better if I update my ROM, better get to that then!

I cant find the registry HKLM/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH to improve the ratings of the touchscreen. Im using Total Commander. Can someone give me a help?

No no no no no no. The registry tweaks dont make a noticable difference (at least not for me)

In order to tweak the screen GREATLY you must put on a new digitizer. I just did it and it's literally like the iphone. I wish i took a before and after video
