Guest oogravyoo Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 anyone else have issues with keeping Yahoo logged in on any of these third party IM apps.. I can get it to work once and then it'll give me error 29 over and over and I'll never be able to get it working again..

Guest MistaSergio Posted May 9, 2009 Report Posted May 9, 2009 I was using palringo - which worked pretty well - but I would get kicked and whatnot - slick interface - etc. Palringo will find a little spot to hang out on your today screen if you're not using a different UI -- and doesn't slow the phone down - and ive had a great deal of chats open at once - on different services. I've been trying nimbuzz for a bit now - much slower in operation than palringo [yes, I've turned off avatar download complete] and the sorting of contacts from different services seem to be blended - which makes it harder to sort thru them apart from one another. Also, for no reason at all - some facebook contacts' name would be reduced to nothing but numbers and I'd have to sign on to facebook to see who it was - never had that problem with palringo. But it stays connected and I haven't been dropped from anything thus far -- and the stock noise nimbuzz makes to notify you of a new message is amazing -- just TRY and ignore a couple messages on there - I dare you to try - its horrible and wonderful all at the same time - I'm thinking of making it my sound for texts too. ...you'll have to hear it for yourself. Nimbuzz FTW on functions, capablity, and connection, palringo for speed, layout and intergration.
Guest brian34 Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) Is there a cab out there for Palringo? Edit....Nevermind. I didn't notice you can go to palringo.mobi and download cab. Edited May 10, 2009 by brian34
Guest thescope Posted May 10, 2009 Report Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) I ONLY use IM+ or FRING since they use SOCKETS AND NOT SOME CRAZY HTTP PROXY! so all your DATA is not being sent to the company that made the software. And HTTP? that's only good for websites anything else is completely unsecure any beginning hacker can read your stuff. I like to have my DATA safe, and not find its way to some company where anytime they can wiff open your SKYPE or MSN or ICQ HISTORY! I am sure that there are other programs like IM+ and FRING maybe evan better ones but I am regular to them... im+ costs mola $ fring is free but has less stuff Edited May 10, 2009 by thescope
Guest mr_bungalow Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 I'm curious if when you use IM on your omnia are you sending "text messages" on your cell plan or are you simply using your data plan to send data? I only get 500 texts a month through my plan and don't want to go over that limit and get charged.
