Hi guys

i have just unloacked my i900 from Tmobile and realy happy about it.

thanks to all the info from this site that made it happen.

OK i'm running

PDA i900XXHH7/BOHH5

PHONE i900BOhh2

which is the T-mobile rom i would like to know if possable if i was to flash my phone to the samsung orig rom whats the diffrance between T-mobile and theres?

and is it better than the T-mobile rom.

or which coocked Rom would be better for the 1st time to flash.

IMHO, it would be better to stick to official roms for the first time flashing, after u get some experience on how the flashing process works, and if u are not satisfied with the official roms, then u might take the jump for the custom roms. but i would advise u to read the posts abt the custom roms as much as possible before taking the jump, u can damage ur omnia if u do the process incorrectly.

i do think the official unbranded roms are better than the branded ones, first because they dont have the ugly icons that come in the brannded ones and secondly it "feels" more unrestricted since in the branded roms they implement settings proper to their network but with an official unbranded rom, its like u can almost change things as u want them to be.

for me personally i cannot use a branded rom, like i mentioned because of the ugly icons and also i have 3 different simcards from different operators and i use each of them everytime i travel, so i am not restricted to the prices of one operator.

performancewise i think maybe the latest official rom would be better than the branded ones and since branded ones dont get upgrades so often, it is better to get to official unbranded ones since u see a new rom almost every 2 to 3 months with new stuffs in it and possible fixed issues.

but i have to mention to u as well that flashing another rom in a branded omnia causes it to lose its warranty with the operator from whom u bought it, for instance t-mobile here. only good thing i can think abt the branded roms is the warranty with the operator, otherwise nothing else is really good.

so if i flash the rom to the new version from samsung this will be better than the T-Moblie rom. talking of the T-Moblie rom could i go back to there ROM if i have to?

and does and one have the T-Moblie rom in case i want to go back.
