Guest zoolie Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Hello, I'm wondering why no one have coded a good mediaplayer yet. I've tried everything from S2P to wmp. I just want a mediaplayer with about the same structure as Ipod has... Artists > all artists Playlists > playlists Songs > in alfabetic order etc... Because the only way now is to use S2P and folder thru the images (as in itunes), it goes slow and is "laggy". Can someone just code a simple freaking mediaplayer that delivers.
Guest jason07 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Are you serious? Google search... Core Player is my favourite with all the features you just asked for, but Kinoma FreePlay is a great media player (very finger friendly, awesome interface, but lacks in some options. Go get Core Player.

Guest jason07 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I second Kinoma FreePlay I just played around with Kinoma again, and you can sort by date, size, title or track name, and (if u buy/'acquire' the full version) you can create playlists, and even play the playlists that you may already have (through WMP etc). It's definitely a good option.
Guest scuba264 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Try Conduit's Pocketplayer. Thats what I use and I really love it. You can use media player skins, and it sorts by Artists, albums, genres, years.... supports playlists and will display album art if you've included it. Also plays video. I use it every day and it's great. http://www.conduits.com/products/player/ Edit>> One suggestion...if you try pocketplayer disable scanning in the options. If you don't it will scan your storage for new songs every time you run it, and it can get kinda laggy. I just make sure I scan manually when I upload new songs and no problem. Guest lastnikita Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Nitrogen will soon be the best player ever :D @xda-dev
Guest Yunabeco Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I currently have Conduits' Pocket Player's trial on my device. Works fine. Not the most finger-friendly application out there, but it's enough for me.

Guest buyukbang Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I advise this player too. I tested v5.1 and didn't like it and was using Pocket Player for some time. But v5.3 has lots of improvements, and I shocked when I tried this version. Definitely the best player around :D Stuff all other players the only one you need is this new version PocketMusic Player Bundle v5.3 very fast player best player ive seen (skin wise) also, browsing through music has never been easier with this program very finger friendly...highly recommended...
Guest MrJoneswii Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 What's wrong with touchplayer, the standard one? That's the one I use for music. For videos I use Coreplayer
Guest Neil5459 Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 I'd also look at Pocket Tunes 5 from Normsoft. As well as being a very good sounding player with a number of sound enhancement facilities and an included Internet Radio feature, it can also be used with it's own PC based iTunes synchronisation software, which will sync your iTunes playlists to the mobile device. Note that due to Apple's stupid licensing restrictions you can't sync downloaded iTunes content. It works just as well as a standalone and can handle Artist/Album/Song/Playlist/Genre/Podcast selection. Expensive, but worth a look for serious music lovers!
Guest Christian Spain Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 HTC Audio Manager. 'nuff said. could you post a screen shot of the HTC audio manager?? maybe shoot a omnia compatible cab link over?
Guest jclsm Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 What's wrong with touchplayer, the standard one? That's the one I use for music. For videos I use Coreplayer It's a crap player that F* your memory card space with scanning function. Did you already tried to have your music in your memory card and use Touch player ? This bug was never fixed. :D
Guest grumbly_bum Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 From the few I've tried, I've stuck with Kinoma FreePlay. Or Windows Media Player with the Iphone Skin. Pocket Tunes 5 is pretty good too.
Guest condorx Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 What's wrong with touchplayer, the standard one? That's the one I use for music. For videos I use Coreplayer +1 I switch to WMP for music only when I need to get plugins working (the cool "shake it" or "smart lyrics").
Guest 3shirts Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 I like Coreplayer but its not finger friendly enough (even with a modded skin) and has not way of locking the screen while playing which I need cos I take it running
Guest knotbeerdan Posted May 7, 2009 Report Posted May 7, 2009 Nitrogen will soon be the best player ever :D @xda-dev I second that. I use nitrogen, the only problem i have is sometimes it will just stop playing music for no apparent reason. I especially love the power button in the app to shut the screen off.
