Guest joža Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 hi there, i really hate my omnia's touch response and i decided to send it back to get it fixed. But i'm afraid they'll want to charge me for replacing it since it is not really that unresponsive. But my friend bought one lately and i can say that his touch is excelent even in the middle where mine sucks. So i wanted to ask if can i make screen unresponsive like in some videos on youtube with system tweaks. sending it on monday, hope i'll find something by then with your help. thanks :D
Guest 3shirts Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Let me just clear this up, you are saying you want to change settings to make the screen SEEM worse so when they try it they think it's poor hardware and definately change it under warranty? If that is the plan it probably won't help and might actually work against you because their first troubleshooting step would be to upgrade to the latest official firmware (or re-flash if you already have it) and thus wipe out any tweaks you've done. If the tweaks had made the screen seem poor then resetting would seem like an improvement and they might just call that fixed.
Guest joža Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 ok then i'll send it the way it is, if they replace it fine, if not i'll buy one on ebay and do it myself the heck tnx anyway :D

Depending on the price and your confidence in doing it yourself, that still might be worthwhile. A few people here have paid for it and it's only been about £40 including the cost of the part
