Guest dwallersv Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 If you regularly connect to one or more remote PCs for various things (usually in my case, sysadmin for my home network and PCs), these apps may be good for you. First, a better remote desktop client than the stock WM6 Remote Desktop: zaDesktop Supports desktop sizes up to 1024x768 (RD only supports up to 640x480), has nice zooming support so the entire image of the desktop can be seen on the screen (unreadable, but helps tremendously when navigating around, and even at 1024x768 squeezed into the Omnia display in landscape, you can see more than enough detail to press buttons on dialogs and so forth), high color support. All the really necessary and useful features, many missing from WM RD. There are features in WM RD that are not implemented here, but I've found that they are generally never anything I use anyway. Only negative -- does not bring sound to the handheld. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Sometimes I need to connect to fix something or manage processes, whatever, when one of my family members is using the PC, and can't easily stand aside while I connect via zaDesktop. For those circumstances, I use zaTelnet: Nice, simple telnet client, with all the usual telnet features. Also free. Enjoy!
