So, knowing whatwe know, that the icon resources for the i900 dialer are kept within secdialer.dll, and most of them for the i910 are floating around in \Windows...and if the i900 dialer is copied to the i910, there are missing icons...

So, my question is, why? It appears there must be more than one file that works in conjunction with secdialer.dll. Anyone know what they are?

Bump....I guess no one figured this out. I am going to look at secstres96.dll tonight when I get home and start there. It is a rather large dll. If anyone has any other suggestions or tips, I would be happy to here them.

Thats an unrelated file.

What we need to do is find out what file controls where secdialer.dll looks for its resources. In the i910 dialer, it knows to look in \Windows. On the i900, it knows to look within the dll for the resources.

Got it, the i900 holds all the resources inside the secdialer.dll itself hence the larger file size. I will see if I stumble upon anything tonight.

Adrynalyne,

I looked at secdialer.dll with pe explorer. I saw that it had dependencies on the following dlls.

coredll.dll

aygshell.dll

ossvcs.dll

tpcutil.dll

ril.dll

mitssvcs.dll

immvibe.dll

stellibcdma.dll

I tried copying these out of my phone unsuccessfully. I was wondering if your through your "kitchen" you could extract these files so we can look at the resources inside them.

thanks in advance.
